Edge and Christian Reunite To Spell Alberto Del Rio’s Doom, Days Before Wrestlemania 27!
Red mist descended upon the ring at Smackdown, when superstars clashed a few days before the 27th edition of The Showcase of the Stars, Wrestlemania 27 hits the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. In a rare sight, the WWE Universe was treated to a reunion of Edge and Christian!
In a throwback to the old days, one of the most successful Tag Teams of all times was reunited to take on the cocky superstar, Alberto Del Rio and his mean protégé Brodus Clay. The reason behind their reunion lay in the incidents that happened earlier in the day.
Edge, seething in rage after the vicious attack by Alberto Del Rio and his henchman Brodus Clay, stormed into Smackdown manager, Teddy Long’s office and accused him of favoring Alberto.
Alberto had delivered a vicious ‘Conchairto’ to Edge on the previous edition of Smackdown. But Edge won’t be able to have his revenge as he and Alberto, both will be banned from Wrestlemania 27, if they lay their hands on each other.

And in the main event, Christian squared up against Alberto Del Rio. The match swung back and forth, but all hell broke loose when Edge ran to ring, to deal with Alberto’s acolytes. After chasing away Ricardo, Edge laid his hands on Brodus Clay, rather his chair. Christian then pinned a distracted Alberto for the win.
Then Christian stopped Edge from getting banned when Edge went to nail Alberto with a chair, but there were no restrictions on Christian as he delivered chair-shots to Alberto Del Rio.
